Presidential AI Challenge: State Champion (Team Red)

In September 2025, Ansh Vasani, Anna Lu, Sophia Tatar, and Timothy McKeegan (Team Red) were named State Champions for the Presidential AI Challenge for their original agentic AI cyber defense platform. The system is built specifically for the public education and healthcare sectors, where the dual constraints of stringent privacy requirements and limited security budgets have historically made frontier-grade defense out of reach. Ansh architected and authored a first-of-its-kind Privacy Gateway Model, a local fine-tune that redacts sensitive PII and institution-specific identifiers while retaining context, enabling safe frontier-model reasoning on cybersecurity artifacts.
